He was born on November 28, 1945, in Page County to the late Oscar McKinley and Stella Cecile Breeden Buracker. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Virginia Buracker; and two step-sons, Matthew Burton and Charlie Burton.
Cecil was a member of Victory Freewill Baptist Church and the Madison Senior Citizens.He is survived by four step-daughters, Paula Berry, husband, Ray of Madison, Shirley Dodson, husband, Gene of Madison, Patricia Hedrick, husband, Jimmy of N.C., and Patsy Good, husband, Bobby of Stanley; two step-sons, Eddie Burton, wife, Martha of Madison, and Donnie Burton, wife, Kim of Luray; two brothers, Kenny Buracker, wife, JoAnn of Sperryville, and Russell Cave, wife, Helen of Boston, Va.; three sisters, Ethel Jenkins of Brightwood, Thelma Jenkins of Sperryville, and Iva Filmore of Canton, Ohio; special niece, Connie Weakley of Brightwood; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends, and also the Autumn Care Family.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison, conducted by Pastor Ellis Mullins with interment in Madison Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation was one hour before the service from 1 until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
