In about 1887 Thomas married Mary Elizabeth Hazard, nee: Banks, formally Bright. Following her death, he married Pearl Baumgardner about 1908.

Obituary:

Funeral services for Thomas Bosley Hazard, almost 88 years old, one of the oldest residents of Taylor County and a member of the Elkhorn Methodist Church for 75 years, were held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Elkhorn Church with the Reverend Irvin Gaddis officiating. Mr. Hazard died at 6 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, at his home at Atcherson. He had been in ill health for the past five weeks. At the time of his death, Mr. Hazard was 87 years and 11 months old. He and Henry Robinson, well-known Campbellsville lawyer, had been friends since childhood. There is only two days difference in their ages. He was also associated with the Gowdy & Parrott lumber business here for many years. The Atcherson resident used to tell that he had read the Courier-Journal and the paper that preceded it since he was seven years old, seldom missing a copy. The only time he missed any issues he said, was when the Courier failed to support William Jennings Bryan for President. Mr. Hazard got mad and stopped the paper for a short period. Mr. Hazard was born June 4, 1861, the son of Elijah and Loretta Benningfield Hazard, in Taylor County. He is survived by five sons, two daughters, four sisters, nineteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many other relatives. The children are Carter Hazard, Barberton, Ohio; Travis Hazard, San Jose, Ill.; Ray Hazard and Omer Hazard, Campbellsville; J. D. Hazard, Great Lakes, Ill.; Mrs. C. A. Brown, Taylor County; and Mrs. William Hatfield, Lexington. The sisters are Mrs. Flora Fawcett, Mrs. Virgie Dooley, Mrs. Pinkie Matthews, and Miss Sallie Hazard, all of Indianapolis, Ind. The burial was in Elkhorn Cemetery. Pallbearers were F. L. Perkins, S. A. Ford, Walter Perkins, Bill Bryant, W. M. Johns, and Henry Harrison. Honorary bearers were H. S. Robinson, Dr. E. L. Gowdy, Lee Robinson, Oliver Murrell, Ed McWhorter, G. P. Burress, and Dr. C. V. Hiestand.
