Pugh was the son of Daniel B. and Sarah "Sallie" Glover Grigsby. His parents are buried in Garden of Memories. He shares a stone with his wife, Gertrude Irene Coleman Grigsby, who he married 17 April 1910 in Anderson County. Their sons, D. B. Grigsby and Fletcher Coleman Grigsby, and daughter, Ruby Louise Grigsby Steadman White, are also buried in Garden of Memories. Their daughter, Nancy Grigsby Fulmer, is buried in Roselawn Park. William was residing in Elkhart, TX at the time of his death in a Palestine hospital.

Funeral services for William Pugh Grigsby, cattle dealer of Elkhart, were held at 3:30 p.m. Monday in Hassell & Foster Chapel. Interment was in the Elkhart Cemetery. Rev. Archie Waldrum officiated.

Pallbearers were Slim Richardson, Bill Lively, Jack Overton, Clarence Wynn, Raymond Gilmore, Jerry Kilpatrick, Jess Bishop, and Bill Shelton.
Mr. Grigsby died Sunday at 12:45 a.m. in a local hospital. He was born in Houston County, Texas, on September 29, 1888.

Survivors: wife, Mrs. Gertrude Grigsby of Elkhart; two sons, Coleman of Grigsby of Elkhart and D. B. Grigsby of Palestine; three daughters, Mrs. F. B. Steadman, Palestine; Mrs. Joe L. Kendall of Biloxi, Miss.; Mrs. Craig Douglas of McCamey, Tex.; one sister, Mrs. A. l. Robertson of Slaton, Tex.; six grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
