Mr. Mercer Blackmon is called home. He was stricken with paralysis Wednesday and without gaining consciousness died Thursday p.m.
He was called a good man, as he was quiet! unassuming, tending to is own business and treating his fellow men right. He never took interest in church affairs as some, but circumstance alter cases.
Sometimes we wonder if we were in the other fellow place would we be weighed in the balances and found wanting.
He leaves a wife and 4 children to mourn for him.
On account of rain and bad rads and not convenient to get a preacher, Mr. M. F. Hargett conducted the services. He had expressed himself several time in the past saying he'd rather Mr. Marsellus would talk when he died, preachers couldn't preach anyone to heaven any way.
We feel grateful, altho Mr. Haregtt being a Stewart in the Methodist Church, that we have a man capable and willing to help any where he is called.
Undertakes fro LaGrange were in charge and he was laid to rest in Shady Grove cemetery to await the resurrection.
We extend sympathy to the family with a host of relatives.
He never took much He never too int
