Martha, age 82, passed away at her home in Wamego. She was the daughter of Damien L. and Corinne L. (Miller) Elder. She graduated from Havensville High School in 1955. She married George Lee Bettencourt on December 21, 1958.
She is survived by her husband, her children, John Bettencourt, Laura Chrest, Sandra Roberts, and Linda McDiffett, 15 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Carol Bahret, her son, Dr. Mark Bettencourt, and her great-granddaughter, Cadence Rohr.
A Mass of Christian Burial took place at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Wamego.
