Agnes Adeline Rusch Locke returned home to the loving arms of her family on Sunday August 12th, 2018 at the age of 93. Happy to be "home" and freed from the aches and ailments of a life lived serving others she died peacefully in her sleep, returning to be with her beloved Tony for his birthday the next day.

Agnes was born in the small mining town of Mountain Iron in Northern Minnesota on October 10, 1924. She grew up with her older sister Dorothy enjoying a rugged and simple life. After graduating from High School, she ventured out on her own to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Determined and resourceful, she supported herself by working hard at various jobs including the Woolworth's cafeteria, the telephone company, and a defense plant during World War II.

Agnes met her husband, Anthony James Locke (Tony) while working at International Harvester. Agnes and Tony were married September 4th 1948. Living in Milwaukee, their daughter, Suzanne joined their family, and a few years later they moved to Anaheim, California. There she worked in a Doctor's office as a medical assistant, and a machine shop, before starting her career at Loara High School in Anaheim, CA as a clerk and media specialist where she retired after over 20 years.

Agnes was a loving caregiver to her mother, Seena, for 17 years. She also made many dear friends throughout her journey starting in Minnesota, Wisconsin and California. Then to be near her family, moved on to Florida, and finally Del Rio, Texas. She enjoyed being involved in Homemaking meetings and Relief Society, School activities with her coworkers, Book Club, Writer's club, Lunch Bunch, the Art League and treasured the associations she made there. She was a strong talented woman with many crafting, and artistic skills. She was an accomplished artist creating beautiful and prize-winning works of art with both oil paint and watercolors. She especially enjoyed teaching painting to her great-grandchildren and friends. She painted and made special things for people she loved and it brought her joy to share her talents with any who wanted to learn. She was an amazing baker and cake decorator making beautiful cakes for her daughter's and granddaughters' weddings and many other weddings and special occasions. She was a skilled seamstress and was known to be able to alter any piece of clothing. She could cheerfully talk for hours, was always up for a game of Scrabble, which she played regularly to keep sharp, and loved playing bingo and seemed to always win.

Agnes was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years Anthony James Locke, her mother Seena Terrio Rusch, her father William Fredrick Carl Rusch and her sister, Dorothy Mae Anderson. She is survived by her daughter Suzanne Kay Law and son-in-law Steven Carl Law; grandchildren Matthew Carl Law, Seena Marie Swinyard (Matthew Aaron Swinyard), Lenora Kay Pelias (Gwen Wilfred Pelias), Andrew James Law (Heather Nicole Law), and Michael Scott Law (Reagan Amelia Law); and her 16 great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Ethan, Evelyn, Caleb, Easton, Annabelle, Olivia, Brigham, Marshall, Emerson, Lydia, Wyatt, Lincoln, Audrey, Ezra and Spencer.
