The graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday April 22, 2021 at the Hillcrest Cemetery. The Rev. D Duncan will officiate.
Mr. Mullis was born on November 06, 1936 in Vienna GA to the late Rayford Wallace Mullis, Sr. and Evelyn Reid Mullis. He had lived in Worth County most of his life and was the former owner and operator of Worth Pharmacy. Mr. Mullis was a mason who enjoyed woodworking, fishing and was an avid Georgia Bulldog Fan. He earned his doctorate from Mercer University and was a member of First Baptist Church of Sylvester.
Survivors include his wife Kay of Sylvester; children, Kathy of Sylvester, Lee of Lenox, Matt of Tifton, Mark of San Antonio , TX, Mitch s of Rabun County , GA and Michael Mullis of St. Johns, FL; brother, Ronnie of Monroe, GA and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Mullis was preceded in death by a brother, Rayford Mullis on March 12, 2020 and a sister-in-law, Beth Mullis on July 17, 2020.
Banks Funeral Home in Sylvester is in charge of arrangements.
