Obituary
Louis Frisino, Jr., 86, a lifelong resident of the Anne Arundel County area, passed away after a 9 year battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
Louis was born January 26, 1934 in Baltimore, MD to the late Louis, Sr. and Margaret Frisino. He was a talented artist who created beautiful outdoor scenes and painted wildlife. Deaf since birth, Mr. Frisino graduated from the Maryland School for the Deaf in Frederick, MD. He later graduated with honors from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) and was a recipient of the Peabody Award, a distinction given to MICA's highest ranking graduates. He then went on to work for the News American Newspaper as a commercial artist until his retirement after 25 years of service. From there, he became a self employed Artist.
Louis was the recipient of many awards including First place Honors in the 76-77', 86-87', and 93-94' Maryland Duck Stamp contests. First place honors in the 77', 78', and 79', Trout Stamp contest. He also was awarded First place honors in the 87' North Carolina Sportsmen License Stamp contest and first place honors for the World Championship Wildfowl Painting competition. He received second place honors in the 77' National Turkey Federation. Being a very talented Artist, Louis had 45 of his images of fish included in the 1970 edition of Fishing in Maryland.
In addition to his parents, Louis is preceded in death by his sister Patsy Frisino. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 60 years, Elaine Frisino, children Louis Frisino, Jr., Elaine Davila (Edwin), Helen Belt (Kevin), sisters Rosemary Brown, Meg McLeary, 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many cousins.
In response to these recent developments, the immediate family has chosen to keep the funeral service private in order to protect the health of the public. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Please check back for details.
