Albert W. Blethen, 69, of 1709 South Seventh street, retired Wabash railroad engineer, died at 2:45 am yesterday in a Decatur hospital following a short illness.
He retired las August after being with the Wabash as an engineer for 48 years, and was on the passenger run between Decatur and Hannible for many years. He was a member of Central Baptist church, Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, Tryian lodge No. 333, A.F. & A.M.
Mr Blethen is survived by one son, John Edwin, city. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 pm Tuesday at Bisch Memorial home. Burial will be in Oak Ridge cemetery.
