The service will be at 11 a.m. today at First Baptist Church in Bristol, with burial in Rock Bluff. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.
A lifelong resident of Liberty County, he worked as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Barber of Bristol; two daughters, Barbara Ann Lewis of Keithville, La., and Valerie K. Nelson of Holly; two brothers, Gerald Barber and Charles Barber, both of Bristol; four sisters, Elizabeth Barber, Wanda Harpley, Linda L. Barber and Ann Brinkley, all of Bristol; and four grandchildren.
