Darrell Henry Ahlf, 88 of rural Centralia returned to his Heavenly Home on Tuesday, November 13, 2018. He passed on the Ahlf Family Centennial Farm where he was born on March 28, 1930. Darrell was a lifelong member of United Methodist Church of Shattuc.

Darrell is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Mary "Tanse" (Burnett) Ahlf; daughter Jana (Ahlf) Norman and husband Troy of Odin, son Clint and wife Julie of Centralia; Grandchildren Troy W. Norman and wife Kathy of Odin, Cara (Norman) Garner and husband Josh of Odin, Christopher Ahlf and wife Brittany of Centralia, Rachel (Ahlf) Tune and husband Ryan of Patoka; Great-Grandchildren, Jarrett Norman, Jaycelynn Norman, Christine Garner, Easton Garner, Carter Ahlf, Jack Tune and Baby Tune coming in March; Sister-in-law, Jettie Ahlf of Juno Beach, Florida; Several nieces, nephews and life-long friends also survive. Darrell and his family were blessed with amazing care-givers.

Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lillie (Heinzmann) Ahlf Heinrich; Brother Ben Ahlf; and Sister-in law, Dorothy Ahlf; Step-Father, Albert Heinrich; Step-brother, Earl Heinrich and wife Frances; and Sister-in-law, Betty Meier and husband Ed; Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Clint and Fern Burnett.

Darrell married his Sandoval High School sweetheart on July 23, 1950. Together he and Mary worked to continue the family farm that they both dearly loved. Caring for the land gave him a joy that lasted a lifetime. Darrell enjoyed bird hunting with family and friends as well as his dogs Millie and Candy.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 16, 2018 at Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval with Pastor Steven Fox officiating. A visitation time will be held from 5 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday, November 15, 2018 at the funeral home in Sandoval. Memorials are to be made in Darrell's honor to the United Methodist Church of Shattuc.
