Foot Infection
Kills L. E. Rose
An infection of the foot (Gangrene)
caused the death after a 5-week-illness
of Lewis Edward Rose, 85, of Elkview
Blundon route. Mr. Rose died
at the home of a daughter, Mrs.
Rome H. Summers (Edith).
Rev. Hobson Fisher will officiate
at the funeral Thursday at 11 a.m.
at the Mountain Mission in Charleston,
assisted by Rev. Winefred
Dawson. Burial will be in the Huffman
cemetery on Wills Creek. The
body is at the residence of Mrs.
Summers and will be taken to the
church an hour before the service.
He was divorced and a laborer at a
Laundry.
Preceded in death by mother, Mary
and father Eli Rose, brother, George
R. "Doc" Rose,
of Sissonville Rd.
Survivors include another, daughter.
Mrs. C. A. Rose, Charleston:
two brothers, Philip and Walter
Rose of Oceana; two sisters, Mrs.
Virgie Wiseman, Big Chimney; and
Betty Rose, Charleston; 35 grand-
children and 12 great grandchil-
dren.
