Richmond-- Grover Cleveland Phillips, 90, Richmond, Mo., died Wednesday at a nursing home here. He was born in Topeka, and had lived in Ray County most of his life. Mr. Phillips was a coal miner before he retired. he leaves four sons, Ralph Phillips, Stockton, Mo., James Phillips, Lexington, Mo., John Phillips, Richmond, and Benjamin Phillips, Camden, Mo.; eight daughters, Mrs. Margaret Laney, Richmond, Mrs. Becky Campbell, Pruitt, Ark., Mrs. Mabel Haller, Booneville, Ark. Mrs. Mae Hartman, and Mrs. June Racy of Rayville and Mrs. Frances Tutor, Mrs Virginia Norman and Mrs. Betty Whittle of Kansas City; 36 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Thurman Chapel, Richmond; burial in Dockery (Mo.) Cemetery. Friends call call from 5:30 to 7 p.m. today at the chapel.
