Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Ditmire-Zimmerman funeral home in Fulton for
Albert Reed BAIRD, 72, R.R. 6, Rochester, who died Tuesday at 10:55 a.m. Mr. Baird was dead
on arrival at Woodlawn hospital after suffering a heart attack at his home.
The Rev. Philip ISGRIGG will officiate at rites and burial will be in Fulton cemetery.
Frieds may call after 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Baird was born Sept. 15, 1895, in Huntington, the son of William and Catherine
KUNTZ BAIRD. On Jan. 19, 1927, he was married to Vera MINTER, who survives. He had
lived in Ohio for 12 years befor moving to Rochester and was a member of the Methodist church
at North Royalton, O.
Also surviving are three sons, Terry [BAIRD], at home; Gerald and Duane [BAIRD],
both of Chardon, O.; six daughters, mrs. Norma POPOVIK, South Bend; Mrs. Geraldine
PETREE, North Liberty; Ms. Ardif BAUGHMAN, Mishawaka Mrs. Robert (Judith) TEEL,
Rochester; Mrs. Marjorie CALDWELL, Denver, and Mrs. Evelyn KINAS, Goshen; a sister, Mrs.
Ruth FREET, Nappanee; twenty-two grandchildren; one great-grandchild, and nieces and
nephews. Two brothers preceded in death.
