Martha was born March 29, 1938, the daughter of John Mike and Lucy Elizabeth (Wilson) Collins.
On October 17, 1956, she and Donald James Cook were married in Iola, Kansas. They became the parents of five children.
Her husband, Donald, preceded her in death on August 18, 2006.
She was also preceded by siblings, Robert Earl “Ike” Collins, David Collins, Bill Collins, Donna Eisenbart, and Marcella Dixon.
She leaves her children, Cindy Purtee, D. J. Cook and wife Amy, and Carolyn Randolph and husband Larry, all of Kansas City, Kansas, Sandy Morrison and husband Charles, and Marsha McVey and husband Rex, all of Yates Center; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; a brother, Glen Collins and wife Connie of Piqua, KS; a brother-in-law, Norb Eisenbart; a sister-in-law, Babe Collins; numerous nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends.
Due to the Covid-19 situation private family memorial services will be held at Campbell Funeral Home in Yates Center. Martha’s urn will be placed in Yates Center Cemetery beside her husband.
Memorial contributions may be made to Friends for Life and may be sent in care of Campbell Funeral Home, PO Box 188, Yates Center, KS 66783.
