Obituary: Jefferson City Post Tribune, June 2003

Bonnie B. Gallegos, 74, of Mary's Home, MO, died Monday, June
16, 2003 at her home. She was born in Tuscumbia on August 30, 1928, a
daughter of Arthur Alvadore and Laura Jane Hamilton Bilyeu. On August 21,
1970 in Alton, MO, she was married to Juan Gallegos who preceded her in
death on October 28, 2000.

Survivors include: five sons, Leroy Brockes of Mary's Home,
Leon Moore of Moscow Mills, Harold (Harvey) Brockes of Meta, William
(Junior) Bax of Crocker and Joe Bax of Tuscumbia. Four daughters: Patsy
Visser of Tuscumbia, Kathy Lepper of Mary's Home, Arlene Ghumm of Ulman, Pam
Bax of Tuscumbia; one step-daughter, Gloria Aguirre of the state of
California; 26 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. She was a
homemaker and was a member of St. Elizabeth Baptist Church.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2003
at the Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Pastor Richard Cramer will officiate.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, 2003. Interment
will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to
the Diabetes Foundation.
