William "Ray" Chase, son of Leroy and Almedia Chase, was born in Otho, Webster County, Iowa, U.S.A. on 6 January 1892.
He emigrated to Canada, where he married Olga "Fay" Hesselgrave on 15 June 1914 in the Rural Municipality of Hillsburg, Manitoba. In 1936 Ray, Fay and their 9 children moved to the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia and settled near Kelowna.
Ray died at the General Hospital in Kelowna on 18 September 1972 - British Columbia death registration #1972-09-013223.
