OBITUARY: Palestine (TX) Herald-Press, Friday, 22 December 1978:
Albert Easley
Albert Lee Easley, 63, a former Elkhart city councilman, died this morning at his residence following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Church of Christ, Elkhart, with Herb Evans officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Hassell & Foster.
Mrs. Easley was born in Anderson County Sept. 24, 1915, a son of the late R. M. (Bud) Easley and Etta Warren Easley. He was a member of the Church of Christ, Elkhart, and served on the city council there for eight years. He was a veteran of World War II and a carman for Missouri Pacific Railroad.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Jewel Easley of Elkhart; and daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Clinton Bratcher of Richardson; two brothers, Wilburn Easley of Waco and John Easley of Elkhart; two sisters, Mrs. Robbie Kate Grimsley of Elkhart and Mrs. May Sadler of Bossier City, La.
Pallbearers will be O.L. Grimsley, Kermit Grimsley, Benny Joe McInnis, Tom Lipscomb and Wallace Brunson.
