Services for Margaret Elizabeth "Peggy" (Robbins) Hillis, age 81, of Palestine, Texas died Friday, August 17, 2007, in a local nursing home. Burial in Roselawn Park was under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.

She was born October 31, 1925 in Port Norris, New Jersey to Henry Shaw Robbins and Margaret Elizabeth McConnell Robbins.

She was a member of the First Christian Church. She was a Licensed Vocational Nurse and had been employed at local hospitals and nursing homes.

Mrs. Hillis was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin K. Hillis, who died in 1993; daughter, Barbara Morris; and brothers, Henry Shaw Robbins, Jr., and Linford Allyn Robbins.

She is survived by daughters, Marilyn Morrell, and Cindy Higginbotham; sons, Douglas Hillis, and Rob Hillis; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons Marvin W. Hillis, John Morris, Jr., Eric Higginbotham, Dustin Hillis, Hunter Key, Tanner Key, Eric Huffines and Matthew Hillis.
