"MRS. ALVIN RANDALL - Esther M. Randall died at the home of her son, Darwin Chesebro early on Sunday morning. aged 78 years. Her maiden name was Esther Dutcher. She was born at Edmeston in 1823. Her parents were Peter Dutcher and Nancy Chesebro. In 1841 she married Asa Chesebro. Of this union were born six children: Darwin of Brookfield; Truman A., now in Pennsylvania; Charles A. who died in 1865; Otelia, now Mrs. Charles R. Spicer, of Oneida; Estelle who died in 1871; Hattie, died in 1862. Her husband died in 1865, and ten years later she married Alvin Randall, who died in 1896. Mrs. Randall lived in Brookfield nearly all her life, and at eighteen years of age united with the Church at Columbus Quarter ... She is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Isaac Armstrong, Mrs. Legrand Stanton, Mrs. George Wilcox, Mrs. Levi Samson; and by one brother, Elra Chesebro. Her funeral was largely attended at the home of her son, Darwin Chesebro, Tuesday afternoon, Rev. C. H. Colegrove officiating. Interment in Brookfield Cemetery."
