Mr. Kilmer's retirement in 1939 ended a long career in railroading, mostly as trainman assigned to the Leigh Valley's former "Black Diamond."
He was a native of Towner Hill, Pa. He was a life member of Lakeland Lodge 952, F&AM.
Survivors are a son, Walter J. Kilmer of Birmingham, Michigan; a daughter, Mrs. George D. Hippchen of Buffalo, three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral service at 1 pm Monday in the Harry A. Wedekindt Funeral Home, 280 Grover Cleveland Highway, Eggertsville, will be followed by burial in Acacia Park Cemetery, Pendleton.
