Ruby Rhine Jordan, 82, of Houma, La., died Monday, Aug. 14, 2006, at Terrebonne General Hospital in Houma.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, with burial in Lakewood South Memorial Park in Jackson.
She lived in Houma for the last four years, having moved there from Jackson. She was retired from the Mississippi Oil and Gas Board as hearings administrator. She was a member of Pear Orchard Presbyterian Church and will be remembered as a very loving and devoted wife and mother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles K. Jordan; parents, Calvin E. Rhine and Matilda Turner Rhine; four brothers, Mel Rhine, Roy Rhine, Rex Rhine and Noble Rhine; a sister, Hazel Rhine; a half brother, Lawrence Perry; and a half sister, Laura Perry.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Randy Collins of Houma, and a granddaughter and her husband, Holly C. and Chapman H. Burguieres III.Memorials may be made to Pear Orchard Presbyterian Church and School in Ridgeland and First-Trinity Presbyterian Church in Laurel.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, which is in charge of arrangements.
