WALES, UT: David Cox Rees, 89, died Dec. 20, 2004 of natural causes.
Born May 4, 1915 to David Price and Elvira Melissa Cox Rees in Wales, UT. Married Ada Louise Ruesch on June 6, 1945 in the Manti Temple. They had four children, Carolyn (Karl) Christensen of Ephraim, UT; Frank (Dorothy) Rees of Clinton, UT; Mary Ann (Richard) Nielsen of St. George, UT; Roger (Rebecca) Rees of Wales, UT; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was a life long farmer and rancher. President of Cattlemen's Association and president of Irrigation Co. A member of the LDS Church. He served in church callings including as a member of bishopric.
Preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Hilda Ann Rees, Ona Rees and Myrtle Rees. Survived by his wife, children and two brothers, Merril (Emma) Rees of Big Piney, WY; Newell (Eunice) Rees of Wales, UT.
Funeral services will be Thurs, Dec. 23, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. in the LDS Chapel in Wales. Friends may call Wed. from 6-8 p.m. and Thurs. from 12:30-1:30 p.m. both at the church in Wales. Interment in the Wales Town Cemetery under the direction of Rasmussen Mortuary.
