Very early in her married life she was called upon to give up her husband who died Nov 1st, 1904. On February 23rd, 1906, she was married to George E. Adams at Monroe City, Indiana where they resided until recently. There was born to this union three children who died in infancy.
For the past sixteen months Mrs. Adams has been failing in health and during the month of July came to this place to visit her mother, in the hope that the sunny climate of Kansas might prove helpful in restoring her health. But her coming was too late to check the ravages of that dread disease, consumption, which was praying upon her body.
The deceased was converted and united with the Methodist Episcopal Church at the age of 16 years. She lived a faithful member until the end of her earthy pilgrimage.
Mr. Adams with the little daughter and all the friends have the sincere sympathy of the good people of Mt. Hope. The funeral services were held Sunday morning at the M. E. church conducted by the pastor, W. J. Barron. and the mortal remains were laid to rest in the Mt. Hope cemetery.
