While her marriage record (and her sister's) give her last name as Haase, she must have been adopted by her mother's third husband. Her sister's death notice states her maiden name was Pickar. Her mother's marriage to Conrad Haase (1859) gives her name as Mrs. Barbara Pickert and Louisa's death certificate also indicates a father other than Haase (not intelligible). Unfortunately the mother's obituary mentions neither husband, but only children and I can find nothing about the mother's first husband or any concrete evidence as to mother's maiden name.
