Mrs. Golden was born June 6, 1935, in Ben Hill County, Georgia, to the late Haymond W. Coffey & Louise McCullough Coffey Horton. She was a homemaker and a hard worker all of her life. She loved to garden and spend time with her family. Mrs. Golden was a member of First Baptist Church of Fitzgerald.
She is survived by her two sons: Howard & Lea Anne Davis of Fitzgerald and Glenn & Angela Davis of Fitzgerald; a step-son, Gary & Lisa Golden of Fayetteville; a step-daughter, Paula Jean Huff of Fayetteville; eight grandchildren: Jane Ellen & Paul Reese, Lee & Jaclyn Davis, Jay Davis, Jason & Brandy Davis, Anna Beth & Lemuel Brooks, Brett & Kensey Davis, Sydney Golden and Sam Golden; 15 great-grandchildren; her twin brother, Dudley W. & Wanda Coffey of Virginia and two sisters-in-law: Latrelle & Carroll Kirkland and Doreen Coffey, all of Fitzgerald. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Howard Thurman “Smut” Davis and her second husband, Curtis L. Golden; a granddaughter, Nikki Smith; a sister, Mary Rose Munn and a brother, Morris “Sonny” Coffey. Paulk Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
