Charles Wesley "Chuck" Arthurs, 82 of Bethany WV died peacefully on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at Wheeling Hospital with his children by his side.
Born on August 11, 1937 in Wellsburg, WV a son of the late George and Hulda (McCartney) Arthurs, Sr. He is also preceded in death by His beloved wife of 47 years Winona "Winnie" Arthurs on August 15, 2018; one sister, Delores (John) Smith; and two brothers, Thomas Letcher and George (Bunny) Arthurs; and a nephew, John (Judy) Smith.
Chuck graduated from Wellsburg High School. Later he worked in the paper mill and also worked and retired from Koppers Industry. He was Protestant by faith and a member of the Bethany Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star, and Wellsburg Moose Lodge 1564.
He is survived by four children, Brian (Erin) Arthurs of Morgantown, WV, Brent (Vicki) Arthurs of Cumming, GA, Margaret Lewis of Morgantown, WV, Cynthia Arthurs (Nat Ray) of Wellsburg, WV; nine grandchildren, Zachary Lewis, Kai Bowers, Luca Ray, Ashley (Christopher) Griffin, Erica (Randy) Michael, Christopher Arthurs, Lindsey (Corbin) Hilling, Alex Arthurs, Taylor Arthurs; six great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday May 15, 2020 from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at the Mullenbach Funeral Home 669 Main St. Follansbee, WV 26037 and again on Saturday, May 16th from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Angel Adams officiating.
Interment will follow at Bethany Cemetery.
