Rites are pending at Costin Funeral Chapel in Martinsville for Darrell Zike.

Zike, 68, Martinsville, died on August 7, 2003, at the Morgan Hospital & Medical Center Emergency Room in Martinsville. His wife, Ella Mae (Morrison) Zike, survives.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints.

Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral chapel and from 10 a.m. until time of the service Monday at the church.

The service for Darrell E. Zike Sr., was 11 a.m. Aug. 11, 2003, at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints in Martinsville. Elder Gary Goodnight officiated. Brother Jason Vaught, grandson, and Brother Mike and Brother Darrell Zike, both sons, gave the eulogy.

Zike, 68, Martinsville, died Aug. 7, 2003, at the Emergency Room in the Morgan Hospital & Medical Center in Martinsville.

Sister Addie Vaught, granddaughter of Zike, was the pianist and Sister Mary Anne Astleford was chorister.

Vocalist Sister Susan Perry sang, "If You Could Hie To Kolob" and "Oh, My Father." Congregational hymns were "I Need Thee Every Hour" and "Put Your Shoulder to the Wheel."

Pallbearers were Jason and Jeremy Vaught, Travis and Trevor and Ryan Zike, Graig Cherry, R. J. and Graham Gano, William and Michael Myers and Reed Price.

Sister Lisa Price, Zike's daughter, gave the closing prayer and the dedication of the grave was performed by Brother Darrell Zike (son).

Burial was in Hilldale Cemetery in Martinsville.
