Services Set For Negro Man, 109
Simpsonville - Funeral services for Abe Austin, 109, of Rt. 1, Simpsonville, who died Friday, will be conducted Tuesday at 4:30 pm at New Pilgrim Baptist Church by Rev. U.S.G. Sweeney. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Surviving are his wife Deanna Austin: three daughters, Mrs. Bealla Barksdale of Fountain Inn and Mrs Louise Gaston and Mrs. Elouise Washington of Spartanburg; three sons, Preston Austin of Greenville, Paul Austin of Taylors and Harold Austin of Indiana; 21 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
The body will be at the home after 1 pm Monday. The M.B. Callaham Funeral Home, Greer, is in charge.
