Canton, Miss, June 29, J.M. Mills, a valiant Confederate veteran and time honored citizen of Canton, died at his home here at 10 o'clock last night from inflammation of the bowels. He was sergeant of Ward's battery, and a braver man never lived. his remains were buried here this afternoon at 5:30 o'clock.
