She was born on Saturday, February 22, 1947, in Carrollton, the daughter of the late Fred and the late Mildred Lyle Worthy.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Richard Emlyn Grimshaw; one sister, Maryanne Robinson; two brothers, Hoyt Worthy and Louie Worthy; one daughter, Shannon Rae Grimshaw Ingram; three grandchildren, Lauren Elizabeth Grimshaw, Tory Walker Ingram, and Vanessa Shae Ingram; and a step-grandson, Ben Garner.
Venice was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was Baptist by faith. She retired from being secretary (2) from the State of Georgia, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Richie and Lisa Grimshaw of Bremen; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Betty Worthy of Buchanan and W.L. and Melinda Worthy of Winston; two grandchildren, Chad Grimshaw and Morgan Grimshaw; two great-grandchildren, Chandler Grimshaw and Temperance Grimshaw; three step-grandchildren, Kyle and Tabitha Garner, Whitney Vines, and Courtney and Andrew Benjamin all of Bremen; and several other relatives and friends.
A graveside will be held on Monday, May 11, 2020, at Baptist Tabernacle Church Cemetery at 2:00 PM with Reverend Dr. Joey Meeks officiating. The family will receive freinds on Monday at the graveside from 1:00 PM until the service hour.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
