Ms. Anderson died Saturday, July 14, 2007, at her home.
She was born Dec. 29, 1933, in Newton, the daughter of Hobert G. and Marie Elnore Chase Lindgren. She graduated from McPherson High School in 1951 as a member of the National Honor Society. She also attended Hutchinson Community College. She moved from McPherson to Lawrence in 1998.
Ms. Anderson worked for the McPherson Daily Republican as a clerk. She was a legal secretary to Jack Bower.
he worked for McPherson Hail Insurance Co. and the Kansas Power & Light office in McPherson. She was a dental technician for Dr. Walter Jones and worked for Heston Corp. She later owned and operated Images In Silver Studio in McPherson. She also authored, photographed and illustrated books.
She was a member of the Haiku Society of America, Kansas Authors Club, Professional Photography Association and a 50-year member of Order of Eastern Star Oriental Chapter 58. She was also a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ in McPherson.
Ms. Anderson married Vernon Pistora on May 29, 1979, in McPherson. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Michael William Anderson, Lawrence; and two grandchildren.
