Irene A. Pearce, 89, of Mexico. Irene retired as a teacher from the Fulton School District. She was a member of the New Haven United Methodist Church and also a member of the Rebekah Silvercrest Lodge of Mexico. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur in 2000. Survivors: a daughter, Karen Gerloff; two sons, Ronald and Walter Pearce; five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday at 3 p.m. at the Harter Funeral Home, 9 Washington Ave., Mexico. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be 1 to 3 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the New Haven United Methodist Church.
