Anthony Ryan Adams, age 11, of Garnett, Kansas, passed away on Friday, Aug. 10, 2007, at his home.

He was born on June 29, 1996, at Emporia, Kansas, the son of Rodney Adams and Libby (Thomas) Rose.

Anthony lived at Emporia until moving to Garnett in 2004, when he began living with his grandparents, Roger and Phyllis Adams. He was preparing to enter the fifth grade at Garnett Elementary Center. He loved to play baseball, soccer, go swimming and riding his four wheeler. He also enjoyed riding horses and he loved his family and friends.

Anthony was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Bennie and Opal Parks and Harlan Adams.

He is survived by his mother, Libby Rose and her husband, Walter, Emporia; his father, Rodney Adams of Emporia; one brother, Jonathan Adams and a sister, Aailynnia Adams, both of the home; a stepbrother, Justin Cotton, Emporia; two stepsisters, Amy Mills, Emporia, and Patricia Mills, Paola; grandparents, Roger and Phyllis Adams, Garnett, and Patsy and Buster Price, Clay Center; one great-grandmother, Opal Maxine Adams, Garnett; and aunt Brenda Jenelle Adams, cousins Cody and Josh Mundell, all of Baldwin City.

Musical selections played at his funeral service were "Pour out the Rain," "Amazing Grace" and "Angel Band."

Pastor Tony Thornton gave the prayer and the funeral message at the First Christian Church, Garnett.

Candlelighters were Joseph Scobee and Carlee Leinweber.

Casketbearers were Cody Mundell, Josh Mundell, Jeb Bryan, Adam Stahl, Travis Stahl and Travis Stanley.

Honorary casketbearers were Jerry Jensen, Randy Stahl, Tress Potter, Jonathan Adams, Tom Copeland, Waylon Morse, Terry Feuerborn, Yevahan Komisor, Bobby Saile, Eli Mitchell, Justin Cotton and Amy and Trish Mills.

Interment was at Garnett Cemetery
