Funeral services for Dennis Edward Webb, 82 of Artesia, will be held at the Church of God, Seventh and Chisum, Artesia, New Mexico. The Rev. W. C. Grisham will officiate, and burial will be in Woodbine cemetery.
Mr. Webb, who died at 7:30 a.m. Sunday at his home, was born Nov. 10, 1878 in Brown County, Texas. He was married to Stella Mae Nelson in 1909 at Carlsbad.
He had come to Artesia in 1900 from Haskell, Texas, and he had been employed in the oilfields in the Artesia area.
Survivors are the widow; two sons, Elvin of Artesia and Dennis Edward Webb, Jr. of Brownsville, Texas; three brothers, R. B. Webb of Buckeye, Arizona, T. R. Webb and Buck Webb, both of Texas; one sister, Mrs. Minnie Jones of Haskell, Texas and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers for the services will be Jess Truett, Bert Wilbanks, J. D. Hodges, Milton McDonald, Cecil Williams, and Vernon Dewitt.
