Shirley Goodwin-Stanton was born on August 23, 1935 in Kirbyville, Texas to Martin Wiltshire and Fannie Stimitz Wiltshire.  She was a member of Katy First United Methodist Church and loved spending time with her family and friends.

          Shirley Goodwin-Stanton passed away on Monday, May 4, 2020 in Houston, Texas at age of 84 years.

          She was preceded in death by her husbands, her parents, a brother and her sisters.

          She is survived by her children, Bernie A. Goodwin, Jr. and his wife Teresa “Tess” of San Antonio, Billy H. Goodwin and his wife Lee of Katy, and Stacy Layne and her husband Scott of Dallas; six grandchildren, Vince, Cassie, Krista, Daniel, Mallory and Mitch; four great grandchildren, Bruce, J.J., Diana and Graham; numerous other loving family members and many friends; and her beloved fur baby, Radar,

          Funeral services with limited attendance and social distancing will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Katy First United Methodist Church with Dr. Richard White and Rev. Pamela Cline officiating.
