SPOKANE - Thelma Vae Barr, 97, passed away in Spokane on Friday, May 19, 2006. She was born on June 23, 1908 in Greene Iowa to Homer and Florence (Reams) Woodling.

Thelma lived in the Yakima area for over 65 years. She married Claude Barr in 1942 and together they operated the Tieton Cafe for over 20 years.

Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Barr; son, Donald Reynolds; daughters, Elaine Reynolds Myrek and Marian Reynolds Rosenbush.

She is survived by her daughters, Shirley Reynolds Silver of Spokane and Janice Barr Matson; sons, Terry Barr of Washington DC and Dennis Barr of Burien, WA.

Visitation will be offered today from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Shaw and Sons Funeral Directors. Graveside services will be held today at 2 PM at Naches Cemetery in Naches. Those wishing to attend the graveside should meet at the cemetery. Shaw and Sons Funeral Directors were asked to care for the burial arrangements.
