Robert (Bob) Lee Waltner son of Otto J. & Marie Schrag Waltner, was born November 26, 1943 in Moundridge Kansas. He died on August 15, 1966 in an auto accident when driving to work. Survivors include: his parents, two brothers, Orville Waltner of Moundridge and Glen Waltner of Denver; four sisters, Marjean Zerger and Luene Flickinger, both of Moundridge, Delene Goering of Colorado, and Marianne Spencer of Wichita.

Bob attended grade school in the Moundridge Kansas area until he was in the sixth grade. The family moved to Aulne Kansas where he attended grade school until the 9th grade, then attended Marion High School in Marion Kansas.

He loved (fast) cars and loved animals. He had at least 10 dogs in his lifetime and named everyone of them Shep. He had a lot of friends who loved him. He was a wonderful brother, son and friend.

Bob was a big race car fan. He owned 14 cars in his life (at different times). He was killed in his 14th car by a drunk driver. He always said "I am going to live fast, love hard, die young and leave a beautiful memory" He did all these things. He had many friends that loved him as did all his family. He is missed.

Bob was tough when he had to be but gentle whenever he could be. He was especially gentle and kind to his mother whom he loved very much.

Bob accepted Christ as his Savior in Bible School in Aulne and is now with the Lord in Heaven. If there are cars in Heaven, he has the one that will run faster than all others and he has a dog named Shep.
