Mr. Brummel was a race horse trainer and involved in horse racing all his life.
He enjoyed watching his grandson play baseball.
Survivors include his wife, Billie, at home; two daughters, Sherry Brummel of Shelton, Wash., and Robin Segundo of Vancouver; four sons, Ron Brummel of Raymond, Wash., Michael Brummel of Portland, Jack E. Brummel of Olympia and Rick Cartwright of Vancouver; one brother, Jack E. of Vancouver ; and 14 grandchildren.
A funeral will begin at 12:30 p.m. Monday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel.
Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
