Ardmore, Oklahoma - Funeral services for Marie Manley Aagesen, 86, will be Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Southwest Baptist Church with Reverend Jeff Thompson and Dr. Dwight Reagan officiating.

Graveside services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the Rochester Cemetery with Reverend Paul Chambers officiating.

Born January 25, 1921, at Blum, Texas, Marie was the daughter of Malcolm and Della Arnold Manley. As a young child the family moved to Rochester where Marie attended Rochester Public Schools for 11 years, graduating in 1939. She moved to Abilene to begin her career working for Dr. Virginia Boyd, EENT. She later met and married Doug Price, who was in the Restaurant Business. They moved to Big Spring, Texas, and continued in the restaurant business until his death in 1971. Marie decided to enter nursing training and received her LPN in Dallas Nursing School. After several years of nursing, she decided real estate was more productive and interesting.

In 1973 she and Dr. Carl Aagesen were married and they moved to Kingland, Texas. Marie bought Home Real Estate in Kingland. Dr. Aagesen died in 1981, and Marie continued in real estate until she retired and moved to Ardmore in 2001, where she lived until her death August 14, 2007.

Marie is survived by two sisters, Modelle Barton and husband T.W. of Rochester, Texas, Lois Hilburn of San Antonio, Texas, two brothers, Bob Manley and his wife Oleta of Springer, Oklahoma, and Dick Manley of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Sister in laws, Jerry Manley of Madill, Oklahoma and Janice Manley of Ardmore, Oklahoma, a stepson Carl Aagesen and his wife Norma, granddaughter, Lisa Geddis and her husband Ian and two great grandsons, Keith and Michael Geddis. She also is survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and a few great nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Francis and Charles Manley, two nephews, George Ballard and Mike Ellyson, two brothers-in-law, E. A. "Bo" Hilburn and W. L. "Knott" Ballard and a sister-in-law Carol Manley.

Memorial may be made to the Rochester Cemetery or Rochester Veterans Memorial Fund.
