Albert Adler, age, 86, of Crockett, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2020 at his residence. He was born June 11, 1933 in Apple Springs, TX to parents, Noye and Opal Baker Adler. He was raised in Crockett where he helped his father in his auto mechanic garage. At the age of 17, he started pipelining with family member Ferg Adler. He was drafted into the United States Army and was stationed in London, England. Albert bonded with this group of army buddies who called him, Tex and they have stayed in contact with each other over the years.

In 1955, he married Ruby Rains and they lived in Dallas after he got out of the army. Then in 1957, he went back to pipelining, working and traveling in most of the central northeastern states and Alaska during his career. Albert started working overseas in 1965, working in Algeria, Libya, Brazil, Iran, Argentina and Thailand. He worked with and for a great group of people who became close friends who continued to call and check on him over the years.
Later Albert switched to laying cable and returned back to working in the United States. In between jobs, Albert would work with friends mowing, doing dozer work and planting trees and sprigs. He also enjoyed taking care of his place south of town and spent many hours building and repairing fences.
In 2000, Albert had an accident that left him a paraplegic. Since then, he has enjoyed watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up. He was a member of the Masonic Lotrop Lodge #21 and The Good Shepherd Fellowship Church.
He was preceded in death by parents, Noye and Opal Adler; sister, Carolyn Fuller.
Graveside funeral services for Albert Adler will be held at 10:00 a.m. in the Evergreen Memorial Park with Rev. Ottis Byers officiating
