Jim grew up in Cleburne, graduated from Cleburne High School then attended Abilene Christian College (now Abilene Christian University), in Abilene Texas. He married his high school sweetheart, Charlie Dell Jackson on December 8, 1956 in Abilene, Texas. They were married 63 years. After selling his Dairy Queen Stores, they returned to Cleburne where they opened Turner-Easdon Real Estate, later becoming Turner-Easdon Caldwell Banker Real Estate. Upon selling that business he opened Easy’s Convenience Store. His love of sales led him to automotive sales at Bill Johnson Motor Co., which eventually led him to opening Jim Easdon Auto Sales.
