Coleman - Dorothy Irene, 97, Greeley, Colo., former lifelong Lincoln resident, died Saturday (9/22/01). Born on farm near Mound City, MO., (9/29/06) youngest of nine children, to Robert and Flora (Skeels) Cottier. Family moved to Lincoln, 1914. Attended elementary school adn graduated Bethany High School, 1925, where she was a star basketball player. Attended Cotner College and University of Nebraska. Married Watson Sheffer Coleman, 6/21/33 at Bethany Christian Church in Lincoln. He was retired from Northeast High School faculty. They lived in Lincoln most of their marriage. In September 2001 she moved to Greeley, Colo. to be with daughter. Before marriage, taught kindergarten at Havelock Elementary School, Lincoln. Later developed Bryan Memorial Day Care Center at Bryan Memorial Hospital and was its director for many years before retirment. Member, Bethany Christian Church, Christian Women's Fellowship, charter member of Bethany Lioness Club, Columbia Chapter OES, Bethany Woman's Club, Havelock Retired Teachers, Nebraska Education Association and Retired Northeast Faculty Wives.

Survivors: daughters, Constance (Roger) Harbert, Greeley, Colo, Patricia Tate, Laramie, Wyo.; sn, Gerald (Beverly), Wilmette, Ill.; granddaughter, Lisa Ashley, Kent Wash.; grandsons, Jeffrey Harbert, Steven Harbert, both Greeley, Thomas Harbert, Aberdeen, S.D., Bradly Tate, Palm Beach, Fla., Jerod Tate, Denver; eight great-grandchilderen; sister, Louise Graber, Greeley; many nieces and nephews including Louis Cottier, Friendship, Wis. Preceded in death by husband (5/8/81); infant son; granddaughter Amy Harbert; five brothers; two sisters.

Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Bethany Christian Church, 1645 N. Cotner Blvd. The REv. Daryl Lauber, Fairview Cemetery. Visitation: 2-9 p.m. today, with family 7-9 p.m., Roper and Sons Mortuary, 4300 O St.; no viewing at the church. In liew of flowers, memorials to church (05).
