Mabel Anderson Leeper, 90, of Kingsport, TN, passed away on April 30, 2020, at Orchard View Rehabilitation Center after a brief illness.
Mabel was known for her green thumb. She grew beautiful roses and tomatoes and she always had blooming violets in her kitchen window. She enjoyed country music and was a faithful fan of The Young & Restless.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Linda Jane Collins Anderson; husband, John Henry Leeper; son-in-law, Don Maness; grandson, Dustin Moss; three sisters and a brother.
Mabel is survived by her daughters, Katherine Crawford, Helen Sue Maness, Jennifer Bentley (Bill), and Reva Leeper; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Anderson, Jr.; sisters, Nell Owens and Reva Owens; and lifelong friends, Brenda Reese and Rick Hartgrove.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a Private Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 3, 2020, under the Oak Hill Funeral Home Portico with Pastor Shawn Bentley officiating. Music will be under the direction of Terry Bennett.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a contribution to the charity of your choice, or Fellowship of Christian Athletes, P.O Box 3570, Johnson City, TN 37602; Gravely Baptist Church Building Fund, 647 Gravely Road, Kingsport, TN 37660.
