Helen Rita (Ingram) Canty, of Everett, age 76, passed away after a short illness on April 15th at the Katzman Family Center for Living in Chelsea.

Beloved wife of the late James “Jim” Canty. Loving mother of Denise Canty Turilli of Everett and James M. Canty of Salisbury, and the late Richard J. Gannam. Sister of George Ingram and the late John W. Ingram Jr. and the sister-in-law of Nancy Ingram. Proud grandmother of three grandsons: Nicholas Canty, Matthew Turilli and Ryan Canty. Also, survived by two nephews, one niece and several great nephews & nieces and friends.

Born in Arlington, MA, she was the daughter of the late John W. Ingram and Alfreda (Cruiser). Graduated from Arlington High School and worked as a Patient Care Assistant for many years. Devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Helen loved spending time with her family and friends. Helen enjoyed listening to music, dancing, playing cards, pool and bowling with her friends and family. She will be missed by all that knew her.

In light of the recent development with COVID-19, all funeral services will be private.
