Mrs. Elinor Strong Bogardus, widow of J. Arthur Bogardus, former chairman of the board of the Atlantic Mutual Insur ance Company, died Saturday in White Plains Hospital. She was 69 years old and lived at 8 Stonehouse Road, Scarsdale, N. Y.

Mrs. Bogardus was a daughter of the late State Supreme Court Justice Selah B. Strong and Mrs. Mae Waring Strong. On her mother's side she was descendant of Lewis Morris, first Governor of New Jersey.

Surviving are a son, John A. Jr.; a daughter, Mrs. Frances B. Lang; two brothers, and seven grandchildren.
