George Parker Ring married Suzanne Virginia ("Virgie") Micou ca 1856; they were married until his death. The couple had two children, namely:

In 1885, George's widow, Virgie, married Andrew Glassell III (1827-1901) of Los Angeles, California; in 1886, George and Virgie's daughter, Rietta Ring, married her stepfather's son, Andrew Glassell (1860-1924).
Capt. Ring was the first Confederate Officer to be given orders to train Blacks for warfare in 1864.
