Minnie Kamerman of Manhattan, Mont., went home to be with the Lord on Feb. 6, 2015 after living a full 95 years, giving of herself to her family and her community. She was born at home south of Manhattan. Her parents were Teunis and Gertrude (Sinnema) Bolhuis, the oldest of five children.
She attended the Heeb School, Hyline, and Manhattan Christian School. She always lived in the valley, and was a lifetime member of Manhattan Christian Reformed Church.
She married Harold Kamerman on June 10, 1948, and had three sons . They lived on a farm west of Anceny, and in 1954 moved to Churchill.
Her husband passed away in 1956. She was preceded in passing by her parents; brothers, Norman and Albert Bolhuis; son, Robert E. Kamerman; grandson, Allen E. Kamerman; sister-in-law, Harriet Bolhuis, and brother-in-law, Joe Geerdes.
Visitation hours will be held from 12 to 8 p.m. on Monday at Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service. Graveside services will be held at Churchill Cemetery on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015 at 10 a.m. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at Manhattan Christian Reformed Church at 11 a.m., 7950 Churchill Rd. Manhattan, Mont. 59741.
Should friends desire, memorials in Minnie's name may be made to Manhattan Christian School, Rocky Mountain Hospice or Churchill Retirement Home on Minnie's behalf.
Arrangements are in the care of Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service.
