Our Heavenly Father saw fit to reward Barbara "Latrice" Harris with her wings on Sunday, March 10, 2019, at Mercy Hospital in Janesville, WI. after her valiant fight with Breast Cancer. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family and friends carried her through her courageous battle. Latrice was born on March 5,, 1982 in Beloit, Wisconsin to Terrance Montgomery and Tammy (Waylon) Daniels.

Latrice attended Burdge Elementary School, McNeel Middle School and graduated from Beloit Memorial High School the proud Class of 2000, where she was active in Youth 2 Youth, DECA Club and the Minority Excellence Organization (MEO) before attending the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh, where she obtained her Bachelor's of Science Degree in Social Work. She continued her lifelong love of learning, obtaining her Master's Degree from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee. She worked for Bonner School District in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Milwaukee County Department of Health and Human Services, Milwaukee, WI; Rock County Human Services, Janesville, WI; Community Action Inc, Beloit, WI; School District of Delavan, Delavan, WI; and she was currently employed by the School District of Beloit at Cunningham Intermediate School as a school social worker and advisor for the Junior National Honor Society.

Latrice accepted Christ at an early age (14), received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and continued her faith walk with him until the end. She loved God and loved to praise him through song and dance. She would often come to meetings at work humming a song. She was a member of New Covenant Deliverance Tabernacle in Beloit, Wisconsin, under the leadership of the Late Pastor Ernest K. and Susan C. Roman where she served faithfully as a member of the New Covenant Youth Council Y2K (Youth Working 2gether in the Kingdom). She loved working with the youth and young adults. Latrice was active in all aspects of church life. She loved spending time communing with the Lord, whether it was meditating, praying, studying the word or spreading the goodness of Jesus. She would often say, "Let's pray about it and leave it in God's hands."

In 2014 she joined Life Church Assembly of God under the leadership of Pastor Kevin Kringle where she served in Tots Life and the Awana's Youth Ministries.

Latrice was known for her ease in conversations with total strangers, some may be surprised to learn of the extreme shyness in her youth. Yet even as a child, she possessed a contagious smile and an entertaining sense of humor. Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many, who even today are being impacted by her display of love and faith. Her signature gift of joy, shown through her constant smiling, laughter, and love, will never be forgotten
