Born March 1, 1924 she was the daughter of John Allen and Rebecca Jane (Pemberton) Turpin. She married James E. Robbins on August 21, 1943 and he preceded her in death. She was a member of the Faith Mission Church in Bedford for over 40 years. Hazel was a very honest, sweet, and caring person whom everyone loved very much. As soon as anyone would walk into her home, she would always say the same thing, get you something to eat. Her family and her church were very important to her.
Survivors include: one daughter, Virginia "Ginger" Jones of Mitchell; one son James Robbins and his wife Cheryl of Bedford; one son in law Richard Schofield; 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Katherine "Sue" Irene Schofield, three brothers, Floyd Turpin, John Earl Turpin, and Lloyd Turpin, one sister Katherine Blanton.
